Penis fish, best poo face, farting on a first date: these are just some of the delights that media stars Adeola Patronne, Chloe Burrows and Madame Joyce will deploy to win the hearts of eligible South Korean bachelors in a new Channel 4.0 dating show.
Produced by Fawkes Digital for 4.0, Baddest in the World is a three-part series that challenges the show’s three stars to prove who has the ultimate game when it comes to dating, by taking out some of South Korea’s most eligible men. Tired of the UK’s dating pool, they will immerse themselves in the rich culture of South Korea, while also competing for the hearts and scores of the fittest fellas the country has to offer.
During the series, Adeola (pictured), Chloe and Joyce must blindly select a mystery date from a selection of options that range from deluxe to right-out random. They might get to go yachting, share a K Pop dance class or take their date to a fragrant local fish market. The three will date the same men to tally up who’s got the most charisma and nerve – even in the most bizarre circumstances. There will also be some friendly sabotaging along the way as they battle to be crowned the baddest gal in the world.
Evie Buckley, digital commissioning editor and Channel 4.0 lead, said: “In a first for Channel 4.0, we’re going overseas to one of the youth culture capitals of the world. Seoul is known and loved as a cultural powerhouse and I can’t wait to see our talent immersed in the home of some of the biggest music, fashion and food trends on social and beyond – all while they ultimately prove who is the Baddest in the World.”
Lucy Smith, executive producer, Fawkes Digital added: “It’s been absolute fire launching a format with these three indomitable and hilarious women at the helm, and a total privilege to film in Seoul for the first series. If it’s not on your bucket list, it will be after Baddest drops. Though I’m not sure I’d go back for seconds on penis fish…”
Baddest in the World drops weekly on Channel 4.0 YouTube channel from October 1. 2024. It is executive produced by Lucy Smith and produced by Cherry Sandhu, with editing by Dave Woodyer, cutdown editing by Reed Crow and graphics by Scott Booth. Director of photography on the series is Ben G. Brown.
